Jeroen Molenaar, Jasper Bos, Joris Strijbos (NL)

Jeroen Molenaar
Jeroen Molenaar's work is concentrated around theatre and sculpture. After his Bachelor in Image&Sound at the KABK he works as an arts-independent. Mostly working in collaboration with other artists he is a member of different theatre-companies such as Delamar-poppentheatre (puppettheatre), KNARS (lokationtheatre), Mechamicri (streettheatre).
In his work with these different partners and his personal sculptural work he is focusing on refined constructions and new ways of projection. Questioning social structures and rules inspires most of his work. He recently finished the BIK-course, where he teamed up with animator Jasper Bos for an animation/streettheatre cross-over wich resulted in the Meganimatie project, a workshop for children but also playing at festivals.

Jasper Bos
Jasper Bos is a draughtsman with a penchant for the comic strip. Based on this, he studied animation at the AKV St. Joost in Breda (NL). He has been working as an animator and self-employed businessman for a few years now in the province of Brabant and the Randstad area. Apart from commercial assignments and his work in education, he also takes part in various projects and festivals. ‘Reis door de Stad’ (Trip through the City) was very well received during the Museumnacht 2010 in Rotterdam. As co-creator of the ‘Meganimation’ collective he wants people of all ages to be animated. This was put into practice during festivals like Bazar Bizar, Dobber and Blikopener.

Joris Strijbos
Joris Strijbos is a Rotterdam-based artist, working in the fields of expanded (live) cinema and audio performances. He is one of the persons behind 'Macular', a collective which focus is mainly on the synaesthetic relation and interaction between moving image and sound.
Since 1999 he’s been running his own record label called “Obnoxious Records” on which he releases all kinds of electronic music. In addition to this he has also released work on different international record labels and performed in many countries throughout Europe.
While deconstructing and reconstructing audio equipment for his music performances, he expanded his live-set with obsolete and analogue video equipment. By using circuit-bending methods and signal distortion he experimented a lot with creating abstract visuals and image-sound relationships
in a live setting. Having a special interest in organic organisations and structures he nowadays creates computer software to generate visual complexity. These techniques re-appear in his installations, in which he focuses on new ways of projecting and creating abstract images.
