Luke Jerram (GB)

British Luke Jerram can justifiably be called a multidisciplinary talent. He creates image works, installations, living art projects and gifts. Jerram has been a professional artist since 1997. Since then, his exceptional works of art have moved and inspired people across the globe. Jerram, in collaboration with established art institutes and organisations, develops both complex and ambitious art projects. Once born his projects evolve through audience interaction, in Britain and beyond. At the moment, his widely praised street piano installation Play Me, I’m Yours, is touring the world.

Central to Jerram’s work is the process of observation, fuelled by the fact he is colour-blind. He researches the characteristics of space and observation in extreme locations for his work, ranging from the frozen forests of Lapland to the sand dunes of the Sahara. During these voyages of discovery, new ways of seeing and new projects come about on the cutting edge of Jerram’s art and observation.
